An Afternoon in Aix-en-Provence

Had an outing today in Aix-en-Provence.  The excursion was more of a shopping trip than a sight-seeing adventure, and so I didn’t get to immerse myself too much into the culture and history although I’ve learned that Aix (as my love so endearing refers) was the home of the great Paul Cezanne, an Artist and Post-Impressionist Painter who was born and lived in the city where much of his life work was centered.  Being that I’m a huge follower of anything to do with Humanities, this knowledge fascinated me.  And so, I’ve kept Cezanne on my back-burner for another time and another post.  For now, I’ll just share a few little memories of our day, which mainly consisted of a long walk through a busy cosmopolitan hubbub, a book store and an old chapel restored into a chic little coffee shop which seemed to mostly cater to international students who are residents at the local University and studying abroad.
